What it is

What “stem cell therapy” means at REVĪV

“Stem cell therapy” is used loosely online. Here is exactly what it means at REVĪV. Our stem cell therapy uses a perinatal tissue allograft: tissue donated with consent after delivery and processed by a U.S. tissue establishment. That preparation contains cell populations, including mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), along with the structural proteins and signalling molecules that come with the tissue.

It is an allograft, meaning donated tissue rather than your own cells. That means no bone-marrow draw from your hip and no liposuction to harvest fat. It is a single in-home procedure, placed under ultrasound guidance when needed.

We also offer exosome preparations, which are cell-free, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) made from your own blood. Your physician recommends whichever fits your situation, or none of them.

Florida law

The Florida rules for stem cell therapy, and how we follow them

Florida is one of the few states with a law written specifically for stem cell therapy that is not FDA-approved (F.S. 458.3245 for MDs, F.S. 459.0127 for DOs). It allows a licensed physician to offer it only in orthopedics, wound care and pain management, and only when the physician:

What Florida requires

  • Uses products from a facility that is registered with the FDA and accredited by AATB, AABB, NMDP or WMDA.
  • Receives a post-thaw viability report for every lot before use.
  • Holds a supply contract naming the facility, its accreditation and its dates.
  • Carries the state’s stem cell notice on every advertisement.
  • Obtains written informed consent covering risks, alternatives and that the therapy is not FDA-approved.

Questions to ask any stem cell clinic

  • Which accredited facility supplies your product? Can I see the accreditation?
  • Can I see the viability report for the lot you would use on me?
  • Is my condition inside Florida’s orthopedics, wound care or pain lane?
  • Will you give me the written consent to read before I pay?
  • Do you promise results? (If yes, walk away.)

REVĪV works inside that lane and sources only from accredited facilities. Neurological, autoimmune, cardiac, cosmetic and anti-aging uses are outside that lane, so we leave them alone. Our FAQ covers the regulatory detail.

How it works

From first call to follow-up, all at home

  1. A free 15-minute phone call. We listen to your history and tell you honestly whether an evaluation is worth your time.
  2. An in-home physician evaluation. History, exam, your imaging and your goals, in your own living room. You receive the Florida stem cell therapy notice and written informed consent before any decision.
  3. Comprehensive blood work. Ordered before any plan is finalized, because inflammation and metabolic health shape what is reasonable to attempt.
  4. A written plan, if one makes sense. Stem cell therapy is one option. Exosomes or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may fit better, and sometimes the right answer is none of them.
  5. Your procedure, at home. Placed under ultrasound guidance when needed, with observation afterward.
  6. Scheduled follow-up. Check-ins at set intervals and a functional reassessment at about 3 months, built into the plan.
Candidacy

Who is and isn’t a candidate

Candidacy is decided by a physician after examining you, never from a form or a phone call.

Reasons we would not proceed

  • An active infection in or near the treatment area.
  • An active malignancy near the treatment site.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • A clear surgical indication. If you need a surgeon, we will tell you so.

Timing issues we work around

  • A corticosteroid injection into the same area within the past 4 weeks. We wait it out.
  • Anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) within 5 days of a procedure. These are paused beforehand.
  • Blood thinners, held or adjusted only with your prescribing physician.
Honest by design

What the evidence does and does not show

The stem cell and other biologic therapies we use are investigational and may be provided on an off-label basis. No stem cell therapy is FDA-approved for orthopedic, pain or general use, and nobody, including us, can tell you in advance that it will work for you.

The published research is early. Much of it is laboratory and animal work, the human studies are mostly small, and some well-run trials have found no advantage over placebo. We will not quote numbers from a study and imply they are your results.

What we will do is examine you, review your imaging and blood work, and tell you plainly whether you look like a reasonable candidate. Some people leave our evaluation with a recommendation to see a surgeon instead. That is a good outcome.

What stem cell therapy costs at REVĪV

Single-area treatment starts at $2,997 for 1 mL, and some patients need only 1 mL. A complete care plan is quoted only after a physician evaluation, because the right amount depends on your imaging, your history and how many areas are involved. Patient financing is available for those who qualify. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Insurance does not cover it.

Your first 15-minute phone call is free. The in-home physician consultation is $199, credited in full toward your care plan if you move forward. Services you have paid for and not received are 100% refundable.

Common questions

Stem cell therapy: questions we get asked

Is stem cell therapy legal in Florida?

Yes, within limits. Florida law (F.S. 458.3245 and 459.0127) allows a licensed physician to offer stem cell therapy that is not FDA-approved for orthopedics, wound care and pain management, with accredited sourcing, lot viability testing, a notice in all advertising and written informed consent. REVĪV works inside that lane.

Is stem cell therapy FDA-approved?

No. No stem cell therapy is FDA-approved for orthopedic, pain or general use. The preparations we use are investigational and may be provided off-label. Anyone telling you otherwise is misinformed or misleading you.

Where do the stem cells come from?

From perinatal tissue donated with consent after delivery and processed by an accredited U.S. tissue establishment, where donor screening and infectious-disease testing take place. The preparation contains cell populations including mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).

Are these my own stem cells?

No. We use a donated allograft, so there is no bone-marrow draw and no fat harvest. Some clinics use your own cells; that is a different procedure with its own trade-offs, and we are happy to explain the difference on the call.

How much does stem cell therapy cost in Orlando?

At REVĪV, single-area treatment starts at $2,997 for 1 mL, and some patients need only 1 mL. Your full plan is quoted after a $199 in-home physician consultation, which is credited toward your care plan. Financing is available for those who qualify; HSA and FSA are accepted.

Does insurance cover stem cell therapy?

No. It is elective and self-pay. We provide itemized receipts and accept HSA and FSA cards.

Stem cells, exosomes or PRP: which is right for me?

They are different things. Exosome preparations are cell-free. PRP is made from your own blood. Our stem cell therapy uses a perinatal allograft that contains cells. Which one, if any, fits you is a physician decision made after your evaluation, not before.

Do I have to go to a clinic?

No. REVĪV is mobile: the evaluation and the procedure happen in your home anywhere in metro Orlando and much of Central Florida.

What conditions do you evaluate for stem cell therapy?

Joint, tendon and musculoskeletal pain (knee, hip, shoulder, lower back) and chronic wounds, the areas Florida law allows. Neurological, autoimmune, cardiac, cosmetic and anti-aging uses fall outside that lane.

Will it work?

Nobody can promise that, and we do not. Results vary, and some people do not respond. We reassess at about three months and tell you plainly where you stand.
